Visiting Nevez during your stay at the campsite

Névez, located in the middle of some stunning coastal countryside, is the ideal holiday destination !

Nestled between the ocean and the river Aven, Névez is a pretty coastal town in southern Finistère, a wonderful destination for a holiday close to nature. Located half-way between Pont-Aven and Concarneau, Névez is the ideal base from which to explore the area.

Discover the history of this pretty town renowned for its « pierres debout » or upright stones, as you stroll around the streets. You’ll find some stunning examples of architectural heritage when you visit the delightful villages of thatched cottages, houses constructed from tall blocks of stone, old bread ovens as well as religious heritage such as chapels, calvaries and its beautiful church, Sainte Thumette.

Névez also boasts an outstanding preserved, natural heritage with fabulous sandy beaches ( Blue Flag), rocky coves and small harbours nestled deep in submerged river valleys (rias). The best place to admire the stunning coastal scenery is along the GR34 long-distance footpath which winds around the ocean and through the Névez countryside.

You can also learn about Névez through its festivals ! If you like to party, come along to the various traditional festivals and concerts in July and August.

There’s the free « Festival Place aux Mômes » every Wednesday in Kerascoët village, the Jassy Krampouezh festival in July, the festival of « pierres debout » (upright stones) at the beginning of August and the Fête de l’Aven on 15 August.

You can also explore Névez through your tastebuds ! Try the local cider or the mouthwatering oysters from Bélon, which are produced in the Aven giving them their distinctive nutty taste.
